Hi Folks, What's the preferred way to update Lucee(5.4.3.2) when it's setup with CommandBox(5.9.1) on Windows(2016DC) and running as a service via the CommandBox Service Manager? Also, BonCode & IIS but I'm guessing they're not in play for this. I don't have any cfengine specified in my server.json. Do I just update it through the Lucee admin interface or is their a CommandBox way to do it? I've looked high and low but can't see a CB way to do it.🤔 This'll be my first update since migrating this pretty large ACF9 app over so I'd like to get it right. 😁 Cheers, Jeff

well I'd start there, that's the CB way to do it. You're right that Boncode/IIS are not in play for this, your front end is just proxying requests to CF so they shouldn't care what version the engine is. With commandbox you pretty much always want a server.json even if you're using defaults for most things, if only to point to your team 'here is where the config lives' - same thing with cfconfig.json

Cheers @sknowlton 👍 In the end I did exactly that, as prompted by Gavin's response. I simply ran:
CommandBox> server set app.cfengine=lucee@5.4.4.38
Restarted the windows service and we were all good. I did get bamboozled by updating the wrong server.json but eventually solved it as detailed in my responses to Gavin. @Adam Cameron Did I leave something out or am I missing a gag? Let me know if I could have asked the question better.

Ah, Jeff "The Other One" Mitchell was a good bloke. "... and another thing!..." was a phrase that got uttered a lot when we were out beering and setting all the world's wrongs to right.
