Hi new here. Hope I am asking in the right place. Thanks to @foundeo for recommending this site. I am trying to get my CF services to run under an un-privileged account instead of Local System. I created a new user account. It is a member of nothing. I have checked the box "Deny this user permissions to log on to Remote Desktop Host server". I changed the account from Local System to this new user in Services, and it did not work. Am I missing something? Do I need to grant this new user some privileges on some folders like my webroot?

Glad you made it here, Welcome! The user needs to have read/write permission to your ColdFusion install folder, and read only on the web root. But if the service didn’t start, then I am guessing the user didn’t have permission to the ColdFusion install dir
