Anyone seen @zackster? Last I read, he had covid 😕
d
I haven't seen him be active in here in a few weeks, which is concerning. I really hope he's doing okay.
f
yeah, I was wondering the same — I did see he made a few commits last week https://github.com/lucee/Lucee/commits?author=zspitzer - hope you are feeling better Zac!

I had a pretty good contact with him before. Then I knew he had Covid, wrote to him, no answer, rewrote to him no answer, then I've heard from Pothys that he is back, but stuck with lot of working. Just havent seen him commiting anymore, and not posting anything anywhere else. Still haven't heard about him .Now I'm asking myself if something changed at Lucee, coz he was the community manager and he interacted a lot with us on behalf of the Lucee team, and now it just feels like when Jordan Michaelis left the community behind. Still feeling very preocupied about him.

@zackster is a huge asset to the Lucee community. I'm with @Andreas and hope he's doing well.

Agreed. This situation also highlights he's got quite a high bus factor, as it's like things grind to a halt when he's not available. Is that something LAS ought to have a contingency plan on?
a
At present Zac works for PIxl8 4 days a week and Lucee for a day a week. His peaks and troughs of activity have based more on what extra stuff does he do in his own time or not as the case may be.Which certainly does vary when there was all that release activity earlier this year. He is off sick atm. In terms of LAS having a contingency plan agreed. It would be desirable to have enough contributing income to be able to support someone full time, it would for LAS be desirable i would say to have Pothy Full time dev resource Full time community management We could do some modelling on what the funding gap is and then run a campaign on the number of supporting members needed to unlock some of those goals. But atm its wishful thinking.

Have confirmed that my colleague Andy heard from Zac yesterday
so i think he's still under the weather

Thanks for the good feedback, fella. On a coupla different axes
I also realise addressing this is tough and there's not a Magic Money Tree (TM) or Magic Personnel Tree to mitigate these things. Doesn't make them any less real here. (and by TM I mean "Theresa May", obviously ;-))

I am just glad to hear he's OK, and hopefully recovering well.
