Does Lucee hash passwords in a different way? I have this line of code but it does not appear to be hashing the password: <cfset variables.hashPassword= Hash(attributes.password & request.hashSalt, 'SHA-512') />
b
"in a different way" than what?

From what above?
You've only shown one sample
To compare two things, there must be two things to compare!

You said it's not hashing the password-- what is it doing then?
It seems to work fine for me
Copy code
CFSCRIPT-REPL: Hash("my pass" & "my salt", 'SHA-512')

Are you seeing a different result? An error??
