please avoid 5.4.3.16 for now.

for now.
Am a bit bemused by this. There's some point in the future where 5.4.3.16 will be fine? Or is it more a case that there's an issue with 5.4.3.16, and there'll be a 5.4.3.17 which will address whatever that is? Or is the nature of the issue not something that would require changes to 5.4.3.16, so that it'll... be OK... after some point?

How bad is the issue? I gotta downgrade a couple servers.. which is fine. Like to stay pretty aggressive with updates. Tbh I haven’t seen any issues yet, but early days.

I see Docker hub lists 5.4.1.8 as the latest 5.x version, so I guess we've moved on from this 5.4.3.16 thing. Whatever it was.

I’m guessing 5.4.3.15 is the “latest”. 5.4.1.8 is from 3 months ago. We’re upgrading in a week or two and targeting 5.4.3.15 at least, so hopefully that’s the right direction. 😄

Oh god no that was just a bad misread from me there. only focusing on the last two digits... seeing 16 / 18. I did not notice the 5.4.1 / 5.4.3 bit. Serves me right for attempting to do more than one thing at a time.
So seems like 5.5.4.x is still in "snapshot" so I will avoid. And the most recent 5.4.3 is still 16, which is the "avoid" one. OK, I'll wait for a bit then.

I’m still a bit confused between 5.4.3.15 and 5.4.4.x (still in snapshot), but was told 5.4.3.15 would be our best bet. Not sure how 6.0.0.585 fits in the mix these days either as it is listed as a stable release too.

I'm not touching 6 with a barge pole. Not for at least three months of it being in the wild. I just have my InfoSec bod nagging at me again about all the critical vulns in the version of Lucee we're on (5.4.3.173 I think), so I need to go through the motions of upgrading again. [shudder]
