We’re wanting to update to the next release of Lucee. I’m not sure if we should be targeting the 5.4.3 or 5.4.4 version. Can anyone provide any insight on the differences? I searched dev.lucee.org but couldn’t find anything. Thanks!

The latest "stable" release is 5.4.3.2. From listening to Gert's presentation the other night on Lucee 6, it looks like they may be releasing v6 in the next 24 hours or so. If I were getting ready to deploy a brand new Lucee version, I'd probably be testing on 6 at this point. However, if you're just trying to update an existing Lucee 5 app, I'd go to 5.4.3.2. If you have no issues with that, then upgrading to 5.4.4.x will probably be fine when it comes out. That's just my take.

i would probably target the 5.4.3.14-RC , it sounded like that included all the fixes planned for 5.4.4 also. Although, I wasn't quite sure if I should interpret Gert as saying the last release before 6, or if it was the 6 release for friday.

Thanks for the input thus far. We’ll probably stay in the 5.x realm for now, but I would like to wait until the next release is out. I just wasn’t sure why there is a 5.4.3 and a 5.4.4. Not sure on the intentions of either or when the next release should be expected, as they both seem like they are actively being worked on.

Thanks Andreas. I did see that post, I just couldn't tell why a 5.4.3 and 5.4.4 exist simultaneously from that post. Or a timeline for 5.4.4.
