I asked this Q mid-thread before, but no reaction to it. There, so gonna surface it here to potentially get more eyes on it (soz for the repetition).
I note in another thread the
<https://ext.lucee.org>
. Is that what the phone-home code is calling too:
<http://ext.lucee.org|ext.lucee.org>
? Is it on a static IP? (looks like a cloudfront host, so I'm guessing not...)
z
it's the same server as updates/download.lucee.org

OKs o let's look more closely where the question marks are in my post:
Is that what the phone-home code is calling too: ext.lucee.org?
Is it on a static IP?

can't reply on that long term, as there's a migration planned but won't be happening soon. but I can give you plenty of notice
what is full url, it's trying to download a lex or a jar?
i'm guessing it's tech debt already addressed, but i can check

This is for a firewall rule. There's no URL, just IP addresses and ports. Cheers, this answers my Q.
NB:
ext.
is different from
updates.
and `download.`:
Copy code
$ ping <http://ext.lucee.org|ext.lucee.org>
PING <http://d3haw41fll1vfe.cloudfront.net|d3haw41fll1vfe.cloudfront.net> <tel:(216.137.44.93|(216.137.44.93>) 56(84) bytes of data.

$ ping <http://download.lucee.org|download.lucee.org>

$ ping <http://updates.lucee.org|updates.lucee.org>

And it looks like Lucee is phoning home (or trying to and failing in my case) to the viviotech one

ah, that's a s3 bucket with cloudfront out front, I got confused with extensions.lucee.org, sorry
a
yeah, no probs.
