Just installed Update 10 for CF2021 and it says it finished but with errors and to check the installation log. I cannot find an installation log at the path provided (...\cfusion\hf-updates\hf-2021-00010-330161). Any ideas where this might be or what the filename is?
well, it appears lots of stuff is broke. I manually installed this update the same as I have other updates after upgrading JDK to 11.0.20 release. I get an error when trying to open the Package Manager and some of the other sections in CFAdmin.
switched back to 11.0.19, restarted the service and it's and still broke. Tried to uninstall update but uninstaller.jar is corrupt. Going to try manual uninstall.

restart the service and or server before you do.

i tried that, it's still broken
step 1 of manual uninstall: 1. Delete the update jar from {cf_install_home}/{instance_name}/lib/updates. there is no jar in this folder, it's empty...
e
then the installer didnt have the correct path or correct permissions when installing the update. was SELINUX on when you tried this?

This is Windows 2019
used admin to install the update like I always do

Which patch? pre 2018 or post 2018 update 2

this is CF2021, update 10 after installing update 9 a few weeks ago.

Yeah, not that. Windows 2019, there was a massive update that affects the OS at the core level. Its why I ask. If you do not have VC++ runtimes installed, You need to install them. Additionally, if you have not already, you must disable or put your ColdFusion install path and temp path as exclusions for windows defender. You can patch and re-enable afterward.
i should ask if you have Desktop enabled or not as well.
seems like Adobe patches always want the desktop enabled.

got everything reverted back to CF2021 Update 9. Used JDK 11.0.19 to install Update 10 and everything is working fine so far. Switched to 11.0.20 again and the server is working fine. I now vaguely recall reading something on Charlie's blog about having update installation issues or something to that effect using 11.0.20.
