(I’ve tried with/without brackets, with/without commas, with cfdocument or just document)
s
Have you tried without the parentheses?
Copy code
cfdocument name="local.pdf" format="pdf" localurl="true" {
            include "../../views/reports/#arguments.report#.cfm";
        }
I don't use the cfdocument or document tags but I'm basing this on how the http tag works in script, for example:
Copy code
http url="localhost" method="get" {
    httpparam name="something";
}

from what version are you coming from?
s
Yep tried both. @zackster I think it was 5.3.3

yikes that's old. if you go to lucee docs, there's a link at the bottom of the page to search the testcases which will show you working examples https://docs.lucee.org/reference/tags/document.html

Something to keep in mind is it may not be the "cfdocument" line that's the problem, but something do to the
include
line. You might try replacing the include line with a static
echo('hello world);
to see if you still get the same error.

@dswitzer I did think of that as well actually but not tested it, mainly because I was trying to dump above the error line without commenting it out, the problem is complicated by the fact that the metadata error occurs even when the code isn't called so I've been trying to trigger it so I can see the dump!
