this mod_cfml bug keeps coming again for fresh installs using Lucee installer, index.cfm?&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&__&_ -- and browser complains for too many redirects
can someone refresh me how to handle it ?
Ist it on localhost port 80?
Please read the response from Jordan

Jordan dismissed this bug as not bug on github, and repeated same answer in this thread. There's no obstacle for Tomcat, running as root on dev machine, to create folder WEB-INF or access any path. I not fully agree that it's not a mod_cfml bug. Fixed by commenting out, its localhost anyway

Could just use mod_proxy, the technical differences are minor.

@rodyon that's what I'd suggest. If you deactivate mod_cfml and add the web context manually, it resolves the 307 redirecting issue.
@Evil Ware its not about the binding of the servlet engine. Its about mod_cfml not being able to create the webcontexts automatically.

He is having a permissions issue, running on a dev machine. He can either correct his permissions, which most developers are very bad at, or he can just change the config. He needs the IISUser , the LuceeUSER /tomcat to both have read, write and modify permissions to the expected "CFML Lucee" path(s).

tomcat/lucee running as root - hence no permission issues - and when I removed mod_cfml and added path to localhost context manually - WEB-INF was created, everything went smootly without changing permissions
