Strumming up some CF2023 and will see what I get.

Also works fine on 2023,0,03,330486.
I will note that 2023 is noticeably slow compared to 2021.

Appears it does not work on ARM based hardware. Using a Intel based Macbook - works in ACF2023, on a ARM based Macbook it does not compile. ACF 2021 works on both.

Not exactly an edge case them. Although, granted, using the Java Integration in ColdFusion is probably the edge case in this ;-)
But @Mark Takata (Adobe) I'm surprised CF's automated testing did not pick this up? I presume (cough) it's run on all common architectures?
[/me places bet that they do not test at all on different architectures, just whatever architecture their test server is...]
