For what it's worth, make sure to double check that cfhtmltopdf is properly installed when updating to the last two security updates, our CF2021 servers got patched to U7 and U8 and suddenly it stopped working.

Were you able to get it working again? If so, what did you have to do? (Asking for a co-worker with a CF2021 box. Really.)

It looks like there is a hotfix that needs to be reinstalled. Devops provided this link in their notes, but it looks more like it is related to report builder than cfhtmltopdf https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/CF-4212391

FWIW, we just test our patched server with a simple cfhtmltopdf tag and got expected results. There is no hotfix in place that I am aware of.
