So? What do "Expression [9]" and "position [1025]" mean in this context?

Yeah, in the context of the previous error message that's a big improvement!

I dunno that "expression" is the right word there. It's invalid JSON, which is just a string. Whilst a string _is_ an expression, what you are really saying is "that bit in the string at position 1025 means that the string can't be parsed as JSON".

It's also not a syntax error. For it to be a syntax error, it would mean the string is malformed or something, eg:

```s = "123 // oops not terminated```
It's a JsonParsingException or something like that.

The overall idea is sound though. Good work, and especially good work bringing it back to the community for review like this.
