What do you make of this: ```// C.cfc component {...
# lucee

What do you make of this:
Copy code
// C.cfc
component {

	static {
		final static.usingLiteral = {
			subKey = "value"
		}
		final static.usingDots.subKey = "value"
	}
}
Copy code
<!--- test.cfm --->
<cfscript>
writeDump(C::usingLiteral)
writeDump(C::usingDots)
</cfscript>

This errors on CF with some bullshit which I will raise with them separately. My expectation of Lucee is that both dumps output the same thing (the first dump being what I'd expect)
z
that's a rip in the matrix letting java sneak thru
a
heh
z
check if it works with latest 5.4 or 6.0 and then file a bug

Your expectations are same as mine, yeah? ie: it should work, and I am not missing anything?
r
Well, I'd expect "value" with usingLiteral.subKey and an error with usingDots.
a
Oh. Whydat?
r
usingDots is never defined as a struct. It causes an error when not static as well.
z
nah using literal would be an ordered struct 😉 i think

Copy code
i.beg.to.differ.rodney = "sorry pal"
writedump(i)

r
You are correct. I had an error in my test code. 😒
That's what I get before having my first coffee in the morning.
Well, then I agree with your first assessment.
