Any success anyone having installing lucee and acf on MacBook Pro M1 chip onwards

I know people doing it with CommandBox.

I have an M1; just spin it up in Commandbox

I'm using Lucee via Commandbox on an M2

What? So you are attempting Commandbox? What errors or issues are you having?

I am not using commandbox Don’t want to use it because I find it but extra work to connect it and then maintain db connections and everything So my plan is to install either acf or lucee But I have to live without it on Mac I am continue using windows then

How is it any different than an installed version of ACF or Lucee? They require you to configure your datasources as well. In fact, CommandBox would make this even easier because you can script it via CFConfig so it "just works" when you start the server with no additional steps.

Yea what Brad said, its actually insanely easier than a full install. I believe you arent aware of things like CFCONFIG that handle the full environment config of your Admin settings like data sources etc.

There are NO issues with installing both on the same hardware / vm / container / whatever. The only thing you have to be mindful of is if you are using connectors then you need to configure those manually.
