If you’ve ever used dump() abort; to debug.. you should install https://github.com/softwareCobbler/luceedebug A colleague spent 4 hours debugging an issue to no avail, and was then resolved in 20 mins after using the step debugger.. Next level awesome!

I think the lack of a decent step debugger was a pretty huge barrier for new developers in the CF sphere. As a .net dev, having to figure stuff out with cfdump was so painful. Every time I fire up the debugger and solve another issue - I quietly thank D. Rogers for the hours he put in for the team .. In fact, my absolute favorite thing about CF dev, in general, is the community and the insane efforts of the Lucee team, plus Brad and David.
