It's been almost 8 months and this documentation bug seems to be untouched https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/CF-4215070 cc @saghosh @Mark Takata (Adobe)

Hahaha mate... yer using the wrong unit of time to measure things here. The CF Team works in units of "years", not "months" šŸ˜‰
m
🤣 For feature requests and even bug fixes, I have become desensitized to that fact. But I figured a documentation bug might be an exception.
m
This channel is, I feel, a better spot to get docs changes and updates put in. Tracker is... well, its Tracker.
And Adam, you know I'm on "The CF Team", right? Hopefully you'd agree that I've gotten at least a few things done in my 2 years here.
m
Ok. I don't remember if I posted it in here before.

Yeah, I should really highlight this space more. We're working on finding better ways to get docs updated, but there's a lot of barriers in the way. At the moment this spot seems like it is at least a fairly direct way, and a lot of the folks who are finding the doc issues are here.
a
hahah yeah @Mark Takata (Adobe). And in @saghosh’s defence, he's pretty slick @ getting the docs looked at when he knows about them. But yeah, I was more thinking about the amount of dust that gathers on everything in the bug tracker specifically.
m
Oh yes, hard agree on that mate. The Tracker is shite. I want to launch it into space.
z
can you wait till Elon finishes killing twitter first, won't be long?
e
It's like the government, by the time the request to get something done finally has made its way to the correct person for approval, Someone else killed the task and is on to something else.
m
@Mark Takata (Adobe) So how do I ensure this message was seen or is intended to be worked on?
m
It has been seen and is on @saghosh's radar for fix, but currently we're up to our ears buttoning up CF2023 docs.
m
I just noticed that this was marked as Closed/Fixed, but it's not fixed. I added a comment with the remaining issues.
1. Documentation for
createDateTime
added
millisecond
but does not indicate that it was added in ColdFusion 2021.
2. The documentation for the
millisecond
function was not added at all.

@Mark Takata (Adobe) / @saghosh who does the testing on documentation-change tickets? I think had you asked any other person alive or dead to test this, they'd've noticed the lack of "There is a new
millisecond
function..."
m
I was just looking through my threads and noticed this latest issue from 9 months ago is still unaddressed. @saghosh Since you did it for
querySort
, can you also add the History change for the
millisecond
parameter in https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/cfml-reference/coldfusion-functions/functions-c-d/CreateDateTime.html ? There's also still the missing
millisecond
function.
