its not microsoft = WIN, UBUNTU doesnt cleanly upgrade between versions = LOSS. Its docker = 🙂 , CENTOS clones perform better = LOSS, FREEBSD clones perform far better = LOSS, you are using an extra 80-140MB per cpu per instance + services pre container vs FreeBSD = "MEEH" , Given all that, your call. Is it a step in the correct direction, Yes. Most apps will do fine.
