The valid characters are defined in RFC 7230 and RFC 3986 Description The server cannot or will not process the request due to something that is perceived to be a client error (e.g., malformed request syntax, invalid request message framing, or deceptive request routing).

Those are HTTP RFCs, not necessarily a Lucee error. Did you search for information on those RFCs? It's most likely a bad URL but since you didn't provide any sample code it's hard to determine the issue.

I reckon if you even do as much as google "Invalid character found in the request target" you'd get a bunch of pretty clear answers to your question...

Yea google first, attempt to debug THEN come ask for help. Display errors, code, after your attempt etc

damm, i fixed it, i was sending full path and doing a binary read which was throwing an error

It's always the best place to start. Most problems one encounters have been encountered by someone else before, and they've already solved it. Saves both you and us effort in rehashing the same old thing again.
