Asking for a friend: What is a good way to list ColdFusion/Lucee on a resume? When not specifically targeting a CFML related job? Something about JVM-language or Tomcat? My concern is that listing ColdFusion is too niche and doesn't make a great impression.

The best way is to be upfront and honest. It will come out in the interview anyhow, and I would think twice about hiring someone who leads with misdirection.

CFML is not a "JVM language" in the way the term is used. At best it's a DSL that runs in a servlet container. I'd not mention Tomcat cos if yer like most CFML devs (myself incl, so this is not meant as an indictment), you now f***-all about Tomcat, and that would only be relevant if going for a job maintaining Tomcat.

No-one's gonna know what Lucee is. So if I was mentioning the platform, I'd be inclined to say ColdFusion or ColdFusion/Lucee. Or say the language: CFML. I think "ColdFusion" is the best known term of the three though, and other than pendants like me, most ppl use CFML / ColdFusion interchangeably to refer to the language anyhow.
