@Martyn Ranyard CalDAV is still in Beta I believe and may not be fully implemented yet - calendars like Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Exchange should work sufficiently
m
the whole reason for wanting to use cal.com is entirely because I will NOT use such cloud providers. I want to self-host this but thought I'd test it out in the hosted environment before committing. Glad I did, as I can write it off as not fit for purpose.
actually scratch that, it seems to be working and it was all down to the damn ux in nextcloud being horrid, now it's all syncing like it should.

awesome!
the problem with caldav is there is no such thing as “a single implemetnation”
almost every caldav provider cooked their own soup and we need to check them one by one
m
yeah I've fought caldav before, what's the sync interval you're going with?

Hey @Martyn Ranyard We haven't really explored this at the moment. Do you have any recommendations?

Isn’t it checking my calendar just in time when someone is trying to find an appointment?

Well, yeah. That's how it is working at the moment.

Of course, some caching could be nice to speed up the first showing of the calendar. Usually then people start checking the dates which needs some time, time well spent to check the actual availabilities in background. And when someone is booking, this should only be possible of the cache was refreshed successfully.
