• Why is an event description mandatory? Genuinely wouldn't know what to add in a description when the title says it all ("30 min meeting)
• When on the time slot booking page (the one where the person booking provides their details), it would be nice if there was a more obvious button to go back to the calendar / the previous page. The "Cancel" button is subtle and makes it sound quite final

Is there some kind of error that shows if you try to update the event type without the description?

For the second one - I agree. You can open a feature request in our repo - <http://cal.com/feature|cal.com/feature>. One of our engineers or community members could pick this up.

I'll notify one of the engineers to investigate this. In hosted version it's not mandatory, I feel that shouldn't be any different in self-hosted.
