Legacy econ has fallen off a cliff in the last few weeks. Is it because of Steam and players are getting ready to switch over?

while I do more RvR than econ, I know I personally have been playing legacy less in anticipation for steam

no the infra was falling before the steam announcement and that was because of the population drop that happened shortly prior

Roseau has fallen off because we firmly intended to let the defence levels drop a bit

for cost reasons... due to population falloff ^^

Will see how much we can affofd cranking the infra back up now, saving on defences, so go crank your Roseau economy up again

At the current levels, its 25k/week to upkeep the defenses

Ech that's still too much

Next weekly payment is in 2d.

Let us know when ya get it built back up at Roseau, As I moved to Maracaibo since its level 4 & it’s in the treaty. It sucks for hauling to FdF but the loads seem to be worth it atm.

we'll probably wait at least those 2 days for another defence level drop. 25k is not unsubstantial with the current pop ^^

I’m confused because I thought as long as you have just enough money in the treasury to cover the infrastructure the defenses will naturally drop over time while the infrastructure stays locked in. That’s what did at BT

no

if you get insufficient funds, the upgrades get dropped in the same order in which they've been clicked up

which is both silly and painfully slow :P

I guess I just lucked out i had both defenses at lvl 2 or 3 and just made sure enough was in for treasury it only lowered the defenses.

yeah those must have been there before you clicked infra

so infra got dropped last

Gotcha

I always thought it took infrastructure first because its the more expensive of the costs..

I mean cost may be involved if there's enough money in the treasury to upkeep everything with 1 less infra

Hmm yeah if I recall I was raising the defenses at the same intervals as the infrastructure same click times. Only thing I remember is making sure money was left in treasury to cover the infrastructure which ended up working and kept infra locked but it’s all confusing as hell.

When I took over at Roseau, both defenses were at lvl 6. At the peak of legacy activity I had infra up to 9, but as activity slowed, it started going down. But defenses remained high. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been intentionally draining the treasury to lower defenses, and will then pump infra back up. It’s a slow process though. I wish we could click down defense and infra in the same way we could click them up.

Yeah would be nice to have more control and the ability to regain all or a % of funds when downgrading as well.

that aside, if there is anything you need lmk i can probably get some. i just don't list in AH often

does the oak deed cover alltypes of oak

no just basic oak White Oak (what you asked about in #626109704539471920) is a "rare" wood and needs a TA structure to harvest

luckily the Logging Camp does all woods so if the port has any other woods you don't have to waste it on just white oak
