Is it possible to add Theo's Dissertation (analog Sonia) to TA on Legacy Server? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1495071403546775675/1495586404426846208/image.png?ex=69e6c8e1&is=69e57761&hm=7f68ff0e360f8dbf567d7a62f986d932d23fe2cb0592285aca0e9bcdedccad80&

1) Can't think of a single reason why taxes should reset to default upon the election of a new governor from the same nation 2) Clicking down 5% per day per nation is just tedious and serves no purpose especially when combined with the reset after each election. Allow the governor to just set the tax rates at a given rate.

This is a death kneel in port battles in the fort and town. I think 2 or 3 times I've gotten away out of 50+ times being hit with the banana. Remove it from the pieces of 8 and from peoples' inventory. Thank you for your attention to this matter

Ahoy Devs: Proposed Enhancement: Automated Society Recommendations in Tutorial to improve player retention and social engagement, the revamped tutorial should feature an automated recommendation system for "Active Societies." This feature would dynamically pull a list of societies with high concurrent players activity at the time of character creation. The interface should include a brief summary detailing the mechanical and social benefits of membership. Furthermore, players who initially decline an invitation should retain the option to request or join a society later via a persistent menu reminder or a follow-up prompt after completing the initial missions arc. Additional Semantics Note: 1. Society’s can opt in or out participation anytime. 2. Society’s with Active players IN nation at the time of a character creation are displayed and prioritized as Currently Online over AFK players Society’s . -Slap-

I am off running into a case as one of our societies main hauler that especially after a significant fleeting night I cannot store all the different items that we have gathered in my ship even though I have plenty of capacity remaining due to the cap on the number of different items a ship can hold this would be highly beneficial if the number could be increased as it would save a considerable amount of time redoing cross map journeys. Mostly this is due to fittings of different types only stacking in fives and the share number of them.

Since game's day 1, I always felt the biggest issue of the game was the lack of significant weather conditions in sea battle and sea navigation. Typhoons, 10m waves, etc, ... super dark if no moon during night, possible to see only ships lights for ex. Damage to the ship during big storms. No certainty to get out alive with your ship if you don't navigate properly in the wave. Needing to fold the sails to avoid them being ripped of if the wind is too strong, etc. Snow maybe if it ever snow there. 0 wind periods. Presence of some fish more or less big that could or could not impact the ships. Games like the original Pirates of the Caribbean or Assassin's Creed Black Flag had bits of those. Anyone else is sharing my feeling it's lacking? I didn't play the game for 2 years though because this "always sunny" thing kind of got me out of the "realism" (the characters way of moving too, but it's another story)

Feel like the title speaks for itself; I've always thought the story was interesting enough, feel like the ending could end up in some epic mission not unlike Fortaleza Da Luz. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1503553299385946183/1503553299792658432/011.png?ex=6a03c4a1&is=6a027321&hm=21d1f65718e9abc6df90500bf3b1ce331019d64c5c2f5078abcf5a4c44bda98c&

Title says it all. Increase the quest log maximum. There's so many quests in this game - many of which I can not always complete right away (ex. far away port, book quests, group captain quests, etc.). Especially when you're going between multiple ports. Honestly feel like you could double the amount of quests to be able to store in the log.

Title says it all. Possibly adding a way to specify how long you want to extend them all at once would be nice as well.

I think that after a mission ends - whether in failure or success - the avcom and sailing skills should reset their timers. I do not think this should apply to "clickies" or "consumables" only skills. Positives: Allows you to go into the next mission quickly and with all of your skills ready instead of arbitrarily waiting for them to come back. I generally chain missions right after each other and it's frustrating at times to go into the next mission not "battle ready". Cons: I'm not sure what the con's for this could be. For those more experienced, let me know if you think there's a way that this could be abused for any pvp situations. I think the timers should only get reset after missions and nothing else.

Several tools are in development right now and we need a place to share them.

Some of these have been suggested before. In no particular order: * A player warehouse * Dockyard access * Career trainers * Maybe auction house access, though I imagine there's arguments against it * Interactivity with your spouse, perhaps repeatable missions and an exchange * Repeatable missions from other NPCs around town * Ability to customize or decorate your home * Access to the mission caves at the Atlantean Ruins, repeatable missions * A church, there's already a priest and hints of mission potential * A wild idea - permanent teleport access, meaning no ship needed there

1) Do away with Hull Patch, Rough through First Rate and have just one Hull Patch. Same for general fittings. Just one Artemis' Cannon Modification. 2) Remove all level requirements on all fittings - permanent and general -, and consumables. 3) Make loot drop-only consumables like Shipwright's Overhaul or Three Sheets craftable.

1) There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Hemp can go up to 10,000 units per stack, but Flax is 100. Barrel of Wine is 10,000, but Barrel of Rum or Soap is 100. 2) The restrictive stack sizes aren't accomplishing anything. They do not deter people from hoarding things, they only increase nuisance. People who want to hoard will find a way to hoard and casuals will have another annoyance discouraging them from playing. If you really want to address hoarding implement a labor reform and/or resource decay.

The Trinity 2nd rate has less effective HP than the Reason 4th rate, the Valiant 3rd rate, and the Centurion 3rd rate. ---- Current Broadside stats: Trinity 2nd rate: 1900hp & 14 DR Reason 4th rate: 2100hp & 12 DR Valiant 3rd rate: 1940hp & 14 DR Centurion 3rd rate: 2000hp & 14 DR ---- I propose increasing the Trinity to 2100hp with 14 DR, this gives it just 100 more hp than Centurion, or 2 more DR than Reason 4th rate, which is still a good margin from the Invincible's 2400hp/15 DR and Prince's 2200hp/17 DR. This would make Trinity advantaged over Triumphant though so Triumphant may need a slight buff too or Trinity may need a slight DPM mellowing

Hello, as I understand it: You cannot make society warehouses in capitals. I would like to suggest this being implemented, as it’ll help societies coordinate activities and hand out gear more effectively, reducing the amount of dead time sailing between some ports just to certify ships and drop them in warehouse etc. Overall it was a surprise to me to learn that this wasn’t already a feature in the game. Please consider this 🙏

I think at the game's peak this mechanic may have been fairly sensible to encourage trading and playing with fellow players of the same nation, thus building community, but at the current place of PoTBS and as it goes into the future- the mechanic ends up adding to hassle which players circumvent. Removal of the reputation penalty would help make running economy setups much easier, and would probably help in forming community and trade relationships between the existing nations in the game. I haven't given this a super thorough think through, in terms of implications, but on the surface it seems like it'd be a win-win.

While not a "feature", many streamers have their own discords, if you can get in contact with them - and offer them some in-game incentive - they can stream PotBS and some of their viewers may join the game. It costs nothing, just in-game incentives - because the streamer gets free content to stream and makes money that way. There are many streamers with, for example 30k subs who are very accessible.

Flag or sail designs that are purchased should be somehow made always avaliable to the player that bought it. I like all my characters to have the same flag. With the designs changing every month, if I make a new character after the designs change, I can't get that flag/sail design anymore. There needs to be a way that once a player purchases a design, they can always have that design avaliable for repurchase. Personally, I think once purchased you should be able to buy it with in-game doubloons at the [currently not used] custom flag/sail design merchant in starter and capital ports. Make custom flags/sails account bound items (so one person cant buy it with BSP then give it to everyone else free), and then any character on the account that purchased it can go in game to the custom sail/flag merchant and buy it again there.

with talk of more European ships to be added to the game, we, Imperial Iron Brewing Company have been talking among ourselves to what we would like it to be. the conclusion was quite quick, a clipper with a fully upgraded capacity (using the Po8 expanded hold) of 5000/5500. the reason for the capacity, for some of our players the fully upgraded batavia at 4088 tends to be camped on some trade runs. for me personally, that equates to roughly 1.5 days of production, not counting the stuff I store and build up for the euro trader. as this would be a very high capacity and fast (its a clipper) we do concede that it makes sense for this to be a premium ship. this would be a ship only for dedicated large eco players/socs. the game is meant to be around 1720, and clippers were laters, mostly 1830/1860 so that does push the timeframe. it does not break the setting, seeing as these are still conventional sailing ships. for the size, it would be huge, possibly colossal.

I think they’d be a benefit in looking at some of the stack sizes of items used as part of Econ primarily for ship construction but also for other parts a good example is oak timber frames which stack in 100 where some of their counterpart stacking at least 500 this would dramatically decrease the number of warehouse slots taken to store this item, especially in the quantity detail is needed for ship construction The second quality of life I improvement I would suggest is to allow for buildings to produce more than 100 crafts of an item in one go for example when crafting items such as barrels of charcoal where you may produce many hundreds in one go having to access the building to do the crafts repeatedly can get tedious at times and Simply being able to craft the total number of maximum available would be useful. This would also apply to all the other crafts, not just this example. Generally, I think this would be beneficial, help simplify some of the crafting systems involved, and reduce the time needed to do Econ on a mass scale. Hopefully, this can be considered

I remember, 10+ years ago, Devs occasionally held server-wide skirmish events. This was a fun event that helped bring players out. If this could be tried today, maybe it would help spark some playership. They might not get 48 players, but even if it's 10 or 20 players that is significant for helping keep the engine running 😄

what it says on the tin

EDIT: seems ALL servers are suffering from this issue. So a change across the board would be best. Legacy needs an overhaul for Governors, specifically in regards to upkeep. The current upkeep costs are unreasonable. Anyone who takes a governorship is either forced to do one of two things: 1) take it upon themself to fund the ports infrastructure level by fleeting 500k-700k to keep the level up OR (and what has been happening at an alarming rate lately) 2) Just stop playing/let the port go to waste because it isn't worth the time/effort for someone to have to personally fund the port. Let's face it, we all love this amazing game but the population is not there for economy alone to sustain these ports upkeep costs. There are lots of ports that were economic hubs for Legacy all now in decline because the governors have discovered the hard way it isn't worth the time and effort it takes to fund the port. Furthermore, nobody else is going to take on the burden because we all know it isn't worth it. So now we have major ports sitting with inactive governors just rotting. The further these port infrastructure levels drop, the more difficult running econ becomes as well. I personally am already weighing whether to close down my own econ business because the ports I rely on for mine are failing. Economic impact aside, the stress the current upkeep puts on governors makes a once fun part of the game once again not worth playing. I'm not sure if the chart below [see attached picture] is an older version, the live server numbers, or what, but THIS would be so much better, preferable, and more reasonable to what we have now. In summary, >700k for level 10 infra is not feasible with the current state of the game, the economy on Legacy is going to suffer if things don't change, and a once fun part of the game (governorships) is nothing more than a chore that isn't worth the work it requires. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1539113630262493246/1539113630505902151/IMG_4904.png?ex=6a871d04&is=6a85cb84&hm=0307def38505da4dff494eb8834a5896fec8e521818033cb7dba3e3a6e6cd8a7&

__Buying/selling issues__ 1) something I think is universally considered a bug - not being able to buy remotely at all, and hopefully getting fixed soon. 2) something I for one think is a bug - not being able to buy in the same port directly into the warehouse (which is possible on Legacy); details here https://discord.com/channels/610868764338290728/610943936629833728/1548782113304875179 Things that are not possible on Legacy, but would be a major QoL improvements: 3) Make it possible to buy directly into the warehouse remotely. E.g. Listing is in Grenville, I have a warehouse there, but am currently in Cayo. I should be able to buy directly from Cayo into my Grenville warehouse. As opposed to buying from Cayo as a pick up, then schlepping over to Grenville and clicking "save into warehouse". We can already teleport between ports and even if you want to make the argument what if there's red around Grenville, a player blockade? You can sail to Grenville anyway in a Fox or a Desperation Raft or whatever. The goods are not being moved from the port, there is no RvR impact. 4) Similarly, make it possible to fill buy orders from a warehouse in that port. There's a buy order in Grenville, I have a warehouse there with the goods, but am in Cayo. Why do I have to sail to Grenville to click the "fill order" button? The goods have already been produced there or moved there, again no RvR impact.

Can we please go back to the old Port Battle times on Antigua. Reasons being it is supposed to be a north american server, and most players are in the central and eastern time zones. This means that most of the current members have families, and or work day jobs. That makes it hard for players to attend PBs that start at 9pm or 10pm, with a second PB not starting until 1am or 2am. This is based on personal observation and and in game communication from several players, that would like to go, and can't. Please consider helping/looking into this. Thank you.

Hello! In regards to having one server, I'm aware the 24hr mechanism would not work because people would do AM flips. However, I believe another approach solves that: Current Concern: Splitting steam into 2 servers would not only fragment the population, it would also hurt NA and EU players. As an NA player, the EU timeslots actually work better for me on the weekends bc they're early enough before I go out and do things. Many EU players also prefer to play in the late evening. So the flexibility to access either timeslot is a benefit to each region. Suggestion: Hybrid approach: - Having both EU and NA PB window in one server (using their existing timeslots) - The time you flip determines which window it falls in. - Each window has its own PB limit so one cannot crowd out the other Perceived benefit: This creates more flexibility for players to schedule and play PBs at a time that works for them. It prevents the flaws of the 24hr scheduling by using the windows to prevent AM PBs. Meanwhile, it allows the full population to interact with each other, allowing synergy to be maintained longer. This also benefits players who occasionally prefer the other region's timeslots.

Can we get additional character options such as numbers and dashes allowed in society warehouse names it would aid in clear communication within groups about what each warehouse is for
