Always depends on your commander and gameplan.

Is Atraxa actually fun in regular queue? It feels to me like it would be too powerful to be interesting

Which one? And do you mean as like the league list, or as a commander? In my experience, people tend to run the low cost one as a proliferater for Planeswalkers, and the higher cost one as standard good stuff, with a lot of higher costed cards.

I don't think I remember seeing something close to the league list, which is a lot cheaper overall on curve.

I was talking about grand unifier the card selection one. I just tried it in queue after losing to it twice in a row on slimefoot and squee. Went 10-0. Deck just feels ez win and nobody can stop it.

So like most other queue decks, Atraxa has a play pattern you run against it (but because it is close to 4 color stuff, it frustrates me for the reasons I ranted about on Friday) and that pattern is to recognize that your win con is either blasting it down before it comes out, or counterspelling it. Something notable for most Atraxa queue decks is they are much more top-heavy then the league list. They run ultimatium/horror/extra turn cards. But this means there is a window to build some form of board presense before they drop Atraxa and refill their hand. It also means if you can slow down their mana by removing rocks/stopping land search, there is a window to beat them.

That said, if they can get it out, it can become kinda unbeatable. My favorite stupid tech card into Atraxa is Tainted Remedy, because it's very funny when your opponent realizes their 7/7 flier costs them 7 life to attack or block with.

And of course, if the opposing Atraxa player recognizes that they have the advantage in the long game, they'll just patiently board wipe/trade removal for threats, while waiting for 9 mana to drop atraxa, and counter your counter spell.

But like with Ivy, a lot of people play impatiently, and will push things early, which can give you windows to work with.

Do people run Ayara’s Oathsworn in Yawgmoth? Seems pretty good, sac a creature to tutor every turn, potentially more than once a turn if you build for that

The floor is too low and the ceiling doesn't come up nowhere near often enough for it to be worth it.
