0.216 when? I was banging my head into wall wondering why

baml_options={"client": "XYZ"}

wasn't working and then I saw "Added in 0.216". Trying to build the Rust code now so I can generate a client from it, but getting this build failure:

Thanks. I was able to build a Python wheel from source but it crashes when I try to run `baml generate`:

Am I missing something obvious here?

what steps did you take to build it from source? I'm going to release in around 2-3 hours!

I built

engine/language_client_python

with

uv build --wheel .

and installed it. Tried several other build commands including building the whole Cargo workspace in case some component was missed,

uv pip install -e .

, etc. I don't really see any good docs on how to get a usable build artifact from HEAD. I haven't looked at the GitHub CI yet, it probably would show the steps I'm missing.

there's a contributing.md file that explains how to use maturin to install the dependency
