Hi Botpress team, I wanted to report a bug I encountered while integrating Botpress Webchat on a Shopify store using the Dawn theme. Issue: When using inject.js v3.4, v3.5, or v3.6, the chat bubble (.bpFab) is never created in the DOM, even though window.botpress loads correctly and bpChatContainer exists. The bot is completely invisible to users. Root cause found: Using v3.3 without defer on the inject.js script tag resolves the issue completely. Adding defer to v3.3 causes the page to zoom in (likely a viewport conflict). Note: we are aware that defer should not be used on inject.js — it was added and removed as part of troubleshooting. Environment: Platform: Shopify (Dawn theme) Working version: v3.3 Broken versions: v3.4, v3.5, v3.6 Bot config version: v2 Steps to reproduce: Add to a Shopify Dawn theme.liquid Add the config script from files.bpcontent.cloud Publish and load the page — no chat bubble appears Replace v3.6 with v3.3 and remove defer — chat bubble appears correctly Hoping this helps you identify and fix the regression in v3.4+.
