Pixel Tracking

Hello, I would need some help. I’d like to install a tracking pixel on the following link: https://www.secure-hotel-booking.com/d-edge/Hotel-Fesch/J2XL/fr/DateSelection ? I’d like to do this in order to track how many people made a reservation through the Botpress chatbot. I have no experience with pixel tracking. Is this possible? As a reminder, I don’t have any access to the website I provided. Thank you!

So the bot sends people to that URL? you can tag the URL with query params https://www.secure-hotel-booking.com/d-edge/Hotel-Fesch/J2XL/fr/DateSelection?utm_source=chatbot but then, youd need to write a script that checks the url params and the utm source, everytime a user clicks the link, the utm source: 'chatbot' should be added to your db then, write a daily scheduled SQL query that counts how many people in total have visited the site from the chatbot utm sournce

Ok, but the big problem is that i don't have the access to the site...

@white-nest-40686 would you have any insight on this? I am pinging you because you are one of the few people who has messages pertaining "Pixel Tracking " in the discord 😄

hmmm, you might have to write your own middleware to take the analytics then forward them to the actual site
unless there is a native method to do it from botpress analytics? but im not 1000%. the middleware method should 100 percent work tho
what site is your bot deployed on? is it urs or a clients]

on a clients site

and you have access to their code base? or can you add files to their website (the file wont do anything functionally, just count how many people click the link)
it isnt the most neat solution, but itll work, Id say wait for @white-nest-40686 to give his input as he may have a more efficient method

Hi, sorry for the delay. I agree with Philip; you need your tracking system. I have some questions: - Is the tracking useful only for you, or is the client interested as well? - If both: Your client should configure their analytics if they have one (I don't see it; I also don't see a cookie banner). - If it's useful only for you, approximately 99% of visitors to the page will make a reservation; if they don't, it's likely because they can't find a free slot. - Can you ask them to place code snippets on that page (your pixel)?
