07/30/2026, 2:55 AMNo not really. Only if there is an external change like a package being removed from a repo do you have to go in and make changes. My image has been pretty much set and forget

07/30/2026, 2:56 AMIf you don't make any changes in a while, GitHub will disable the schedule build, so you would have to go back in and re-enable the schedule

07/30/2026, 4:41 PMbut for things like just installing a few programs and configuring your system the way you like, you would probably not have to maintain it until builds start failing from something or you want to add something else.

07/30/2026, 4:42 PMand because failed builds won't get installed onto your devices, it will just mean that they won't get updates. You will most likely never end up with a unbootable system.
