My colleague was investigating similar today as we’re experimenting with BentoML, and found that having a large local virtualenv folder caused the build to take over an hour, removing it via `exclude`  in `bentofile.yaml` fixed this.

I have tried your suggestion with explicitly mentioning not to include the virtual environment directory in the bentofile.yaml. It has fixed the issue now it takes on around 10 seconds to build the bento. Thanks loads once again.

Hmm I’m wondering maybe we can detect virtualenv and exclude those by default
