Hey @Guillermo Alvarado Thank you for point it out The documentation is updated to the latest master instead of the latest release. for now, you can use envvar to turn off the usage stats:
$BENTOML_DO_NOT_TRACK=True bentoml COMMANDS
@Guillermo Alvarado How did it go? Let me know if I can help with any other ways.

Issue solved
b
What was the cause?
g
I had only configured the proxy in the daemon at systemd files, but you also have to do it in the client in the .docker / config.json file. I think the bentoml documentation should point to the docker documentation to work with proxy. In the end, without the proxy at build time, the script that install the packages with pip had no internet connection to download the packages. One thing is the pull and another is the build ...
So, I think we should point other users to configure the proxy at
/etc/systemd/system/docker.service.d/http-proxy.conf
and
~/.docker/config.json
Do you think I could work in a PR to improve the documentation?
b
Oh yeah. That would be great!

g
Maybe a section named: Working with Bentoml behind a proxy
I will work on that
Thank you for your support.

b
Yeah, I think that could work. We can keep it in the advanced guides section for now and later we will put it in the how to guide
Thank you for finding the issue and took the initiative to contribute to the community. It's awesome to see it

Just to be sure, docs are on the same repo right?
b
Yes, it will be in the path: https://github.com/galvarado/BentoML/tree/master/docs/source/guides, and update the
guides/index.rst
as well
g
ok, thanks
