Hi there! We've been encountering the following error during bentoml service building when using the
build_ctx
argument in the SDK ; this is with version
1.3.14
:
Copy code
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/opt/venv/lib/python3.10/site-packages/fs/osfs.py", line 356, in openbin
    binary_file = io.open(
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: b'/<WRONG_PATH>/README.md'
Where
<WRONG_PATH>
here is the path from which the script is ran, not the value we supply to
build_ctx
for bentoml to consider. Looking at the code I found the following piece in
bentoml/_internal/bento/bento.py
; am I understanding it correctly that there is a bug introduced by chore/default-readme ? Shouldn't
ctx_fs
be used instead of
bento_fs
when attempting the copy?

Having looked into it a tad more, this was a bad take ; but still I can't find where the
build_ctx
is taken into account when the copy to
bento_fs
is happening. I expect it should work if the
build_ctx
coincides with the working directory, but not when they differ.

Thank you for reporting the issue, indeed the readme was default to working dir not the build ctx, @Frost Ming any suggestion?
f
it should be a bug

Thanks for the patch 👌
