We run the bentoml containerize in the CI (unpinned) and we started to get these errors in our build logs:
#5 DONE 21.1s
#7 [base-container 2/7] RUN mkdir /home/bentoml/bento && chown bentoml:bentoml /home/bentoml/bento -R
#7 1.903 mkdir: cannot create directory '/home/bentoml/bento': No such file or directory
#7 ERROR: process "/bin/sh -c mkdir $BENTO_PATH && chown bentoml:bentoml $BENTO_PATH -R" did not complete successfully: exit code: 1
Dockerfile:26

24 | ENV BENTOML_HOME=/home/bentoml/
25 |
26 | >>> RUN mkdir $BENTO_PATH && chown bentoml:bentoml $BENTO_PATH -R
27 | WORKDIR $BENTO_PATH

The bento in question is using an internal docker image as the base image which we also set BENTOML_HOME .
Possible -p is lacking in the RUN mkdir $BENTO_PATH... above? 🤔
Pinning the bentoml build version in the CI to 1.2.18 resolved our issues for nowJean Poudroux
07/30/2024, 11:40 AMbentoml containerize its seems to be broken for us in 1.2.20 while 1.2.19 works
From what I can infer by searcing the bentoml repo is that this line is broken as some subdirs are missing in BENTO_PATH however that code hasnt been touched in 4 years 🤷♂️
