03/03/2026, 1:51 PMautocomplete attributes to enable password manager integration. Password inputs in the Login Password component use autocomplete="current-password" and email/username inputs use autocomplete="username" .
Modal Implementation Considerations
When implementing flows in modal popups, ensure your modal container doesn't interfere with password manager detection:
<!-- Modal container should not restrict input access -->
<div class="modal-overlay" style="z-index: 9999;">
<div class="modal-content">
<descope-wc
project-id="YOUR_PROJECT_ID"
flow-id="sign-up-or-in">
</descope-wc>
</div>
</div>
Additional Tips
• Ensure your modal has sufficient z-index to prevent interference
• Password managers work best when the flow is fully loaded before user interaction
• The Login Password component should be used for sign-in screens, while New Password is for registration
The autocomplete attributes are built into Descope's password components, so password managers should automatically detect and offer to fill credentials in your modal flow.
