We noticed a new issue we use a flow that allows the user to login via email or phone (or social) which used to work perfectly and detected if the user entered email or phone, recently we got a complain that when the user enters a phone the widget doesn't recognize it anymore and gives an error "Please match the requested format." It looks like after you enter the first 3 digits e.g. 718 the widget automatically adds () around it i.e. it becomes (718) but when the user continues to type the rest of the number the widget considered it as wrong format And if I manually will delete the () then it works

Hey @Simon Yoffe could you provide a screenshot and the exact input the user is entering? I am trying to reproduce with the email or phone input component but cant see anything The component just detects your countries code and adds the prefix and country code to the number

@Bhagwanta Yeole please follow up here
@Simon Yoffe is this behavior visible when you run the flow on the descope console as well?
s
Yes, it happens to me in the descope console as well

Hello @Simon Yoffe Do you wanted to show the number format on the UI?
Or If not wanted you can toggle off the Number format option in the edit flow section.
Attaching the snapshot for your reference.
@Simon Yoffe We have noticed this behaviour and raised update request to the team. Once its deployed, we will update you.

I disabled formatting for now, which solved the issue for now, let me when the fix is released

Thank you for the update. I’m glad to hear that disabling the formatting has resolved the issue for now. We’ll keep you informed once the fix is released.
