Right- it seems like from what I understand, yes it can export in 32 bit float, but it can't record in that 32 bit float. The reason people are talking about 32 bit float at the moment is because among other reasons, it means your recordings can't distort or clip, but that's only if you record in it. If you record in 24 bit and export in 32 bit, you won't get any of those benefits. It's mostly a compatability thing.
