Since swapping to the Streamer X from my Avermedia gc573 I'm finding the footage streamed or captured exhibits a fair bit of judder. I'm using HDMI 2.1 cables to and from the gaming PC, and USB 3.1 cables from the Streamer X to the streaming PC. Anyone have any hot tips for getting the video captured smooth? OBS reports a steady 60 FPS with no frames skipped or lost, and my streams with the older device were smooth as expected. Example video here:

So everytime i turn my PC on.. from sleep or shut down.. I have to restart the streamer X.. i have to unplug it and unplug it.. it doesnt show up on the PC. IS this a streamer X issue?

Everytime I restart the PC.. unplug replug. then have to redo the settings.. .. WHY!??

So basically I bought the streamer X and the Shure mv7 but I can't figure out how to get the mv7 to turn on at all without plugging it via USB

Hi, I've been using my Streamer X for a few months now, no changes to cabling, firmware is up to date, just typical windows updates being installed. Went to use the video capture this past Saturday, and it just wasn't working. Like I said, no cable changes. The driver was installed but hidden, meaning the device wasn't connected. Audio is fine, the HDMI audio shows up in Unify, but the video capture driver is not being associated to input. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Saw one previous post with similar issues, but no solution posted. Anyone have any success?

As per the title, can we expect anything from Rode on the current state of the Streamer X, any sort of firmware update timeline or roadmap, or even just an official acknowledgement of the common issues? The device requiring regular power cycling seems very common (judging by this server, Reddit, YouTube), and hearing from Rode on this issue in particular would be good. When the device is working I'm VERY happy with it, but the frequency that it enters a bad state is super disruptive. I see quite a few posts and media speaking about returning the device, and some transparency from Rode would likely help a lot for people on the fence.

Hows the sound quality throught the streamer X. right now im using a DAC pre AMP.

Hi, this may be a dumb question, but does the passthrough on StreamerX support 1440p 144hz? I assume the bitrate should support it, just making sure before I make the purchase. Also, how is the VRR framerate on this thing?

I'm using a 2 pc setup: Device 1: Streaming pc - USB 1 Device 2: Gaming pc - USB 2 - HDMI Capture sent to streaming pc When using the Unify software the incoming audio from the gaming pc (Device 2) was initially present through the HDMI input selection, after some time it began instead coming through the USB 2 input selection. Yesterday the device has once again switched and the audio is present on the HDMI input. First question is why are these variables changing and is there something I can do to control this? Second question what are the differences between these two selections and is one preferable?

Hello folks. When I'm using Microsoft Teams, and the Streamer-X for audio and video, my audio in my video calls seems to "duck"? when others are talking at the same time as myself. ie. if I'm talking, and someone else talks, the streamer-x appears to duck or mute my audio. This does not occur if I switch my video source (in Microsoft Teams) to my iPhone, or an Elgato HD60X. Anyone seen this behaviour before, or know how else I could troubleshoot it? Edit: I'm running OSX, Unify, and SoundSource in the mix.

Just looking for some guidance on whether to use StreamerX with Unify or Connect… it looks like I have the choice and maybe Unify just has more functionality. Is that right?

I'm looking to have separate audio tracks show up in the OBS Audio Mixer, with a channel for: 1. Microphone 2. Discord chat 3. Game audio I'm running a 2 PC setup with USB1 connected to the streaming PC and USB2 to the gaming PC. I'm also looking to have my mic work for both the stream PC (discord) and the game PC (in-game chat). I've got my mic and discord chat separated as desired, but I'm not sure how to sort out the game audio. I tried going into audio settings on the game PC and setting the 'headset microphone' Streamer X secondary device to listen to HDMI. This DID get game audio to the stream PC, but this caused my microphone to get pulled into OBS twice, which doesn't work.

Is there a way to use a standalone DAC and / or amp with the Streamer X? I have some higher impedance headphones that would like a bit more amplification.

Hi, I am using the Streamer X with the current Firmware 1.1.8 ans it works just fine. I just have a question/feature request regarding the LED's. Because my livingroom is also my bedroom you can imageine you notice the lights at night in bed. I already reduced them to the lowest possible brightness an switch to an empty Set for the Smart Pads, but Mic, HDMI input, volume etc are still iluminated. Is there any way to fully disable the backlight without disconnecting it from power? And if not, is this something which could considered in a future update? Thx in advance

Hi, everything working and also you can see audio thru greenmeter on the unify app, but when you launch obs no stream input from rodeX. Changed usb cable, our PC havent usb c input and we put an adaptator for that. we changed the hdmi cable from our nintendo switch, only the sound comes. Firmware 1.1.8 thank you.

Today the streamerx device has decided it won’t cycle through to the xlr input as a mic on the main system. Any fox available?

Hi all, Just want to know if anyone else has had this issue. I have the Xbox Series S connected to the Streamer X, and I can hear all the sound just fine, but within OBS the capture card part of the Streamer X is telling me the video is not supported. I don't understand why. I have the Xbox set to 1080p. I have tried all the supported resolutions and nothing has worked. When I use the Streamer X with the Xbox was just over three weeks ago and it all worked.

Today I logged onto begin stream and my device has completely reset itself with all the settings back to default (including my mic EQ). Each separate audio path (stream, headphone, chat, monitor) have every input method in them.

My colume resets everytime i turn the PC back on.. ongoing issue??

Sometimes I want to do a livestream with a guest. I'm thinking about connecting the Streamer X to the Wireless Pro via the Rode VXLR+. So I could then use two audio channels. That's correct, right? Have any of you ever done this? How is the quality? Especially compared to a single Wireless Pro that is wirelessly connected to the Streamer X.

The Streamer X I have won here (thx again @billions-energy-14251 and team) has arrived and complements my setup perfectly. At first I had everything on the but I missed the faders of my RØDECaster Pro II too much 🙂 So now the setup is as follows: Mics and Headsets are connected to the which is connected to my Mac on 1 and my gaming PC on 2. the is connected with both USBs to my Mac and I have a 3.5mm TRS to dual 6.4mm TS cable connected from the Headphone out of the to the 3&4 of the I know it is not ideal, to convert the audio from digital to analog just to re-convert it back (and forth, when I’m monitoring it ^^), but I absolutely love the ability to change the audio level with the fader. And since this is a support forum, here are my questions/feature requests: - feature parity between UNIFY and RØDE Central would be nice. I would like to have access to all features the has to offer, without juggling two mutually exclusive Apps. In RØDE Central I can configure SMART Pad functions I can’t in UNIFY and in UNIFY I can manage the routing much better plus the virtual channels the software comes with. - is it a known issue, that I can’t get HDMI Sound out of my PC into the ? I assume it is a windows „issue“, because it works with my consoles perfectly fine. - Do I need the external power supply, or is the power, coming through 1, sufficient?

I saw this video where the RodeCaster Pro is controlled via StreamDeck via Midi. Does the Streamer X also have this function and are the commands the same? Is there a complete list of commands for Streamer X and RodeCaster Duo/Pro somewhere?

I love my StreamerX and I own the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm (really good headphones) for monitoring. There is always a sparkling hiss in the headset (not in the stream) which never occurs with other hardware or software. Read about this with other headphones as well on Facebook. Is there a solution? Read that the higher the impedance is the better it gets. Is this a hardware problem or can it be solved by a firmware update (use the latest firmware already).
