It would be a great feature when RØDEcaster would take its network connection to send out status infos (about what fader is open and on / which smartpad is pushed / etc.) to a MQTT Broker where one can take this information and transform it into any other kind of control.

I think it would be nice if you could assign your smart pads to specific menu's on the rodecaster. Let's say i wanna quickly change a sub-mix for my headphones, I now would have to navigate through a few menu's to get to that. So it would be nice if we could maybe assign one of the buttons to instantly go to the headphone routing menu (or any menu you want).

Would it be possible to be able to control the virtual faders through touch screen (sliding up and down) instead of the smart knob? And if so maybe make that a feature that you can enable in settings? I feel like controlling the virtual faders though the touchscreen feels way more accesible rather than having to click using the smart knob and then turn it up or down.

Would it be possible to add a third option when solo is engaged that allows you to listen to the channel at unity level when the fader is down but when the fader is moved up it adapts to the fader level.

Hi, as already asked/mentioned on the Streamer X Thread (https://discord.com/channels/1001456982777155634/1155144735690850314) here again: any chance to fully turn down the brightness/disable it for all the buttons in certain circumstances? I already lowered the brightness to the minimum, but turning it off, would be beneficial. Thanks!

Not sure if it is possible to do the latter but doing the former would also be great cause rather than having a big file with a lot of useless segments, i would rather have it in smaller chunks that makes sorting files & managing storage easier. Although there is the feature to trigger recording from the RX unit, but having it done automatically would be convenient for sure, like how the VideoMic Pro+ automatically turns on when the camera turns on.

Are there any plans or the possibility of adding NDi functionality to the Rodecaster Pro II and the Duo?

As I learned, you cannot connect USB microphones to the Rodecaster Duo. 🙁 I'm interested in the Rodecaster Duo, also because of the form factor (size). More than 95% of the time I would use it alone or with a partner. In this respect, I believe that the duo would be the right choice. But every now and then a third guest would come along. And here it would be great to connect an additional PodMic USB (the new PodMic). Then I would be prepared for any eventuality. And the hardware is available at Rode. Are there already any considerations about doing this? Even if you could just connect a Rode product so as not to cannibalize the Pro 2, that would at least be ok for me.

Considering the rodecaster beta has now added the following, it would be good to have the following also in unify: You can now trim the audio gain of sound pads individually The ducking mixing feature now has a depth control allowing you to set how ducked the secondary channels will be when this feature is used

Add an option to be able to hear the PFL mix through the speakers. This can be done through a smartpad button or maybe a smart knob press?

I’m bringing this up again because we’re starting to see some incredible wireless headsets hit the market, and peripheral devices like the BigScreen Beyond have a phenomenal microphone that are just begging for that Rode touch. I’m hoping to see compatibility come to the RodeCaster Pro 2, it might come down to leveraging the Streamer X ecosystem or developing a device similar to the Beacn or Streamdeck, but with sliders. Sliders are always preferable to knobs in my book.

I would like the Sample channel to show up as a seperate device in Windows. This would allow me to play audio clips via any other software through my sample channel on my Rodecaster. Currently I can only play samples from my smart pad, which is pretty limited. I came from a GoXLR which had a sample channel device and I have 100s of clips I would play through it via voicemod.

I would like to request to have the option to change the audio routing on the smartpads please

I realize this is a bit of a niche situation, but it would be awesome to be able to plug in a console via USB2 and have it recognized as a gaming headset, letting users use the same mic for in-game chat that they use for their stream, as well as playing things like sound-pads/sound-boards and audio from a connected PC over the console’s in-game chat. This would also allow users to use in-console streaming with their XLR Mic instead of a basic headset.

Similar to the goxlr where you can mute your mic to said discord/VC but still able talk to your stream

Will Rode add an option in the future to have a restart function instead just "cancel and turn off" when pressing the power button? Sometimes I have to press the power button multiple times just to turn it on and give me the function to turn off. Thanks -NieR

I noticed that the press of the knob for each headphones dial does nothing. Could we have it act the same as the multi-function knob does for the monitor outs? Meaning a long (2 sec) press mutes that headphone out. Maybe have the color ring around it turn red (or slow flashing red so it doesn't conflict with the channel color assignment) , but remember the volume it's set too.

It would be awesome if we could get more dedicated submixes in the duo for like game and media like how we have a chat submix. that way we can put them on a fader.

Can we get the ability the map the headphone knobs click to something right now from what I can tell they do nothing and that seems like a major waste. Also, it would be awesome if when you muted the monitor output it unmuted headphones and vice vera.

For me the Shure MV7 would be awesome if it had its own preset. i currently use the Shure sm7b preset, but have tweaked it a bit.

The ability to to have certain features control by the smart pad. For e.g. Press a pad that is set to record, it starts flashing alerting you that you are recording. Press it again to stop.

I know there is the Main, Chat and Secondary. Would love to have 1 or two more like Music and Game. One thing the GoXLR had was a lot of audio channels but crap amp. I know there is a bluetooth channel but the audio quality is not good from my PC to the Rode. After 10 minutes it turns in to garbage that you can't even understand.
