then, create an instance manually put it on the `SAME` subnet, use the `SAME` security group and use the `SAME` role and try to ping or telnet the EKS cluster

network timeouts are a `network` issue, so you need to start there

Thanks dude you pointed me back in the right direction, it was the SGs, a typo and I needed another ingress to let atlantis talk to the eks cluster
