Well.. just as an update for those following along at home, I got my pre-workflow python script working which is great. I am running into a weird error sometimes during terraform init:

Error: Required plugins are not installed

I've customized the workflow so that it deletes the .terraform directory and the .terraform.lock.hcl file but that isn't helping. I also don't see this issue all the time which is weird.
