Seems to be https://endsoftwarepatents.org/ now.. not really a good idea to change domains without proper forwarding..

Hello. I would like to check with you that my use of AROS on the website https://instantworkstation.com/ is compliant and OK with you. The site offers AROS as a pre-installed and pre-configured virtual machine usable from your web browser. If I understand the AROS Public License correctly then this use case should be allowed. The use of AROS is credited on the third-party page of the website: https://instantworkstation.com/third-party. Please let me know if you see any issues with the use of AROS on instantworkstation.com.

Distributing of AROS images, vms etc is no problem. Might be different for third party software, but I did not check which aros distribution you are using.

There is no person or organization speaking "officially" for aros. But I am pretty sure there are no issues with icaros.

Hi people, first post here for me. I put it here in #CUEDQJKB9 since it is both an introduction and a question...I'm a software dev who grew up with the Amiga, and I got curious about where AROS development is today, so I booted up an Icaros distro and played around a little but then wanted to see the bleeding edge, so I dived into making an x86-64 build from the github tree and get it going on a virtual machine. My first try resulted in a freeze after choosing an option in the grub menu (VGA display), so my question is if there are any known issues with running in a VM, are there special VM driver choices or unusual flags needed, or should I troubleshoot elsewhere. I used a pretty standard VirtualBox VM with 4 GB RAM.

Easiest thing to get it running is linux hosted

Especially from a developers pov as debugging works best there

Thank you! I tried the nightly native pc-x86_64 build and that worked for me. Something with my own build must be bad.

The nightly build seems to use gcc 10.2.0 while the version chosen by the configure script is 6.5.0, so I'll try specifying 10.2.0 to configure and see if it changes anything.

There is not much activity at the moment and I am not sure who can give you access to github. Slack is quite dead, although the right people should be here. But no idea if they still use slack.
