@User hi team! I received this email yesterday about the new ADWIC process. Right now my Actors cap free-plan usage, usually at 10 results per month. A few paid add-ons, like work email, are also turned off on the free plan. I do that because free-plan runs don't generate revenue, but every call still costs me money. If I made it open to every free user, I would be in trouble. If I understood correctly, the suggestion is to remove the caps and set a high price for the FREE tier instead, so free users can only run a few, and then lower the price from Bronze up. Is that right? A few questions: When does ADWIC go live? How will our current free-plan caps affect the evaluation? What happens to an Actor that fails the check? Lower quality score, less visibility in the Store, something else? Thanks! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1090592836044476426/1547968659786436720/image.png?ex=6aa559a8&is=6aa40828&hm=cd24375f5743d93c081d5d7d5e4c6323f7888607f097a6558edc312770e2e19d&

I don't think there is anything decided yet, this is still in experiment phase. The arguments that you have external costs and that sometimes there is a costly wave of free users are on the table

Without giving any reason and which actor has issue. my account and 2 organization all disabled and also i have share all information to support team by email but it sayied that it could take 1-3 week to get reply. Thanks @Lukas Krivka , good to know it's still open. One more argument for the table, from the free user's side: Say I cap free users at 20 results and charge $4/1k. A free user tries my actor for $0.08 and still has almost all of their $5 to try other actors. Now drop the cap and make the free tier expensive enough to stop at those same 20 results: that's $250/1k. They get the same 20 results but burn all $5 on my actor. And if other actors do the same, whichever one they try first eats part of the budget, so they get even less from the next. So expensive free tiers mean free users try far fewer actors on the platform. A per-actor cap keeps each trial cheap and leaves room to explore the Store. While it's in the experiment phase, do actors with a free-plan cap get flagged by ADWIC? I would like to understand more about it..

Good example. We are aware of this tradeoff and had many discussion about this but we still don't have a best practice to share yet. It shouldn't be flagging anything, it is in test phase

but i started apply the evidence json to make sure all my readmes comply with the features i provide

@Khadin Akbar just advanced to level 1! Thanks for your contributions! 🎉

@Lukas Krivka - is it going to be consistently the same user account with unchanging id that is doing this or will it change? I ask, because one common way of capping free users is to track user ids and limit how many records they can fetch as a lifetime limit. If your tester does not change IDs, it will likely trigger that limit.
l
Same ID and maybe once in the future it will change once it is official. You could just give the tester all the data but keep other users limited
