I use windsurf and I also use my ide as my chat

I just gave it mcp including my own mcp for scraping so it can easily do things for me

BTW that's one thing, the apify mcp is not very "agentic" like it doesn't tell the agent how to populate dynamic inputs like my Actor supports, however I made my own mcp to accommodate my Actor approach. Maybe we should share notes and get a better official mcp for apify happening

I also use runpod for gpu hosting for my production stuff. I wonder if there's a demand for AI agents in the form of actors. Anyone have insight in this? What kind of agents would make sense? I feel like, but could be wrong, that people associate Apify with scraping and not with AI agents.

Actors are just about achieving outcomes right I don't think they care if it's ai or not.. but you can achieve great outcomes using ai to interpret / understand data etc. Then there's things like mcp which can turn your actor into being callable by real-time agents

There are certain tools for basic HTML websites, where you can select elements on the page to extract. But it will have to be an easy website, with little protection that is pure HTML and that does not change CSS classes.

Hello, I guess you are using an outdated version of the SDK. According to the changelog, the charge method was added in 2.3.0, and you are using 1.4.1 https://docs.apify.com/sdk/python/docs/changelog#230-2025-02-19
