The actual payload that is used by Pulsar is within the

content

attribute. If you setup a Function that reads from the same topic, it will actually be consuming the content. And if you setup a Sink Connector, it will be writing whatever is within the content. However a message on a Pulsar topic follows a particular structure, as discussed here.

well yes the payload is within content. I’m referring to the docs the behaviour mentioned there is a mismatch.

this may be caused by the debezium version upgrade.
