broker should not consume disk space. 1. do you have log rotation? log size? 2. do you have core dump enabled in systemd, sysctl, limits? 3. core dump normally is triggered by OS process killed. In this case, you need to find which process is killed and for what reason.

the top1 reason OS kills the process is oom killed. oom killed frequently happens when you overcommit memory (heap + off heap > memory allocated).
