Hi,
It is more like a companion to LangChain.
LangStream is a framework to write your AI applications and go to production:
• Kubernetes
• Security
• Monitoring
• Micro batching
• Scalability
• Websocket gateway (perfect for ChatBots and streaming answers)
Going from playing on Python notebook to production is a difficult tip.
And leveraging the power of a messaging platform like Pulsar is not easy.
So the idea behind Langstream is that you need a toolkit to build a real production ready/cloud native GenAI application.
You have to focus only on your application (building prompts, your data model...), the rest is handled by LS.
The approach is 'no code', only a couple of YAML manifests.
But if you want you can code your agents in Pytjon and leverage a handful of available libraries like Langachain, LlamaIndex, CassIO, Unstructured.io...
