Hello. Sure! Pulsar is designed to run in containerized environments. Are you a Kubernetes user?
d
We are not using Kubernetes. we have three servers, but they have other services installed. Therefore, to isolate resources, we plan to deploy Pulsar using Docker. The Docker examples in the documentation only cover the standalone deployment mode. Where should I refer to for deploying the HA cluster mode?
j
I think you can use the following doc as a starting point: https://pulsar.apache.org/docs/3.1.x/deploy-docker/
d
Thank you, I will test the combination of Docker Compose with Pulsar. By the way, in our use case, which approach is better: using Docker or Minikube for deployment? I am concerned that using Minikube may introduce additional operational costs.
y
Do you mean Docker Swarm?
d
@duke Here is an example of a docker compose file that you can use to deploy a multi-component cluster. Having shared that, I want to emphasize that using docker is only recommended for dev and testing purposes. In a production environment, you need a way to manage your Docker containers. This is where Docker orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or Amazon ECS come in. These tools allow you to manage your containers, scale your applications, and ensure your containers are running smoothly, etc.
