since Pulsar is running in k8s cluster - you will need to ensure that the pods have access to enough memory to perform the tasks.
pods don't have "running time limits" like serverless functions (aws lambda, google cloud functions)
so you should be fine to run a python resource-heavy long-running process on a pulsar function.
one thing to watch out for is that pulsar functions run at a 1 thread level - i.e no concurrency. If you want concurrency you need to spin up N number of pulsar functions.
