Where can I find documentation on the release process and release schedule?

Release is pretty much cut very 6 months. We want to make it more frequently this year hopefully 3-4 months

Quarterly releases sound great. Looking forward to next release in April/May.

yes..

is the idea also to deprecate the v1 engine at some point?

engine wont be deprecated.. its more about some query language.. we will be moving more towards full sql
