Hi Pinot Team! I wanted to check whether there is an easy way to add a new column to Pinot Offline & Realtime Tables. I just want to create a copy of a column with a different name without having to backfill the entire data again.

Yes but that would work for tables which were ingesting data from a source. However, in our case we have backfilled a few months of data from Presto.

what do you mean? Does the column that you want to copy already exist in Pinot with values you want? If so, creating a derived column and coping values is definitely possible not sure why it matter whether it was backfilled from Presto or not. Perhaps I didn’t fully understand what you are referring to.
